Sweelinck - Hodie Christus Natus Est (Brass Quintet with Organ)

Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck's Hodie Christus Natus Est, Christ Is Born Today!, a standard Christmas choral motet, was originally for vocal motet, but this unique version has been set here for brass quintet with organ! Using playful call and responses, and times of doubling, this combination of brass quintet and organ offers rest for the brass players while adding the excitement of an organ! A wonderful selection for Christmas time, but also many other occasions and settings. Scored for two Trumpets, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba and Organ. Perfect for church services, recitals, preludes, postludes, offertories. Looking for another key? Also available in a setting for brass quintet alone, a version suitable on its own, or also as an option for doubling your choir.
